martin8708
Up for sale is my Yamaha BB1200 bass ( made in Japan ) with the original hard case , also has the tool kit and see - through scratch plate and even the Yamaha leather strap . Condition is very good for a bass over 30 years old , one or two small chips to paintwork on the bout , and a bit of " worming " or buckle rash on the back of the body . Price will include shipping , but if you want to collect that's fine too , I'll knock off £20 for collection . I am based on the Isle of Wight , but happy to meet in person at Southampton / Portsmouth /Lymington ferry port for handover . Those in the know ,will know that these are Yamaha's answer to the mighty Fender Precision , and they certainly had their fair share of converts. All questions welcome . I do have a bit of feedback on basschat . Many thanks Martin Edited March 31, 2014 by martin8708

monsterbassman
that is nice , i tried the one being sold on ebay today , loved it old school wooden growl , but the tuning pegs seemed to have a mind of there own , they were vey odd, but what a sturdy beast it was ,

Bigwan
Do you know what year this bass is (please say '77 and I'll take it now!)? If not could you PM me the serial number? Edited March 26, 2014 by Bigwan
martin8708
Hi there , many thanks for all the pm's . The weight ( from my kitchen scales , very unscientific !! ) is 4,5 kgs or a shade under 10 lbs if you work in old money . It's heavier than my 63 P but lighter than my 69 P bass. It's looks like its a 79 , the serial number is 003125. The tolex on the case has a smallish tear , but all the latches work fine .
