Up for sale is my Yamaha BB1200 bass ( made in Japan ) with the original hard case , also has the tool kit and see - through scratch plate and even the Yamaha leather strap .
Condition is very good for a bass over 30 years old , one or two small chips to paintwork on the bout , and a bit of " worming " or buckle rash on the back of the body .

Price will include shipping , but if you want to collect that's fine too , I'll knock off £20 for collection .
I am based on the Isle of Wight , but happy to meet in person at Southampton / Portsmouth /Lymington ferry port for handover .

Those in the know ,will know that these are Yamaha's answer to the mighty Fender Precision , and they certainly had their fair share of converts.

All questions welcome .
I do have a bit of feedback on basschat .
Many thanks
Martin

that is nice , i tried the one being sold on ebay today , loved it old school wooden growl , but the tuning pegs seemed to have a mind of there own , they were vey odd, but what a sturdy beast it was ,

Do you know what year this bass is (please say '77 and I'll take it now!)? If not could you PM me the serial number?

Hi there , many thanks for all the pm's .

The weight ( from my kitchen scales , very unscientific !! ) is 4,5 kgs or a shade under 10 lbs if you work in old money .
It's heavier than my 63 P but lighter than my 69 P bass.
It's looks like its a 79 , the serial number is 003125.
The tolex on the case has a smallish tear , but all the latches work fine .
