I've got a Series I, the one with blocks and binding on the neck, Seymour Duncan vintage single coils in '70s position, Mike Pope 2-eq with VTC. Absolutely terrific bass: a beautiful Fender Jazz clone when in passive, and a hint of hi-fi when active. Super straight neck and strings almost sitting on the frets, veeeeery low action. Boutique bass, highly rated in the USA where is more popular than in Europe.

Yes i've also owned a 1 series vintage, but for my opinion and for opinion of Flef manufacturers too, this new custom series is much superior for woods, finishes, hardware and sound.
