ash
Having regained my Hayman/Shergold GAS after seeing Discreet's wonderful Hayman 4040 renovation I bought this bashed in Marathon. I honestly thought it would be a 'project' given the price paid however after a tweak of the trussrod it plays great and thanks to the added Jazz bass pickup has a very wide range of sounds. The body looks like it's been dragged along the M6 and attacked with a hammer -amazingly however it has not sustained any structural damage. It's a little heavier than some Shergolds I've played although lighter than my Fender Precision it has great sustain and less neck dive and is very comfortable to play. Paul S
Natural wood finish with actual bark, by the look of things. Very rustic. Bet it sounds brilliant.

discreet
Brilliant! So not much work to do then, very lucky. That's proper roadworn, that is. No belt sander relic, either. Are you going to treat it to a refin?
ash
May well do that, but I do quite like the weather beaten look - matches the owner!

ash
I think mine would be considerably more expensive

Result!
