Kiwi
The Yamaha Pacifica series has one of these stunners - the Pacifica 1412 which features a mahogany body and thru neck. It's been selling for around US$1600 in the US though, so no bargain. However the Ibanez Artcore AGS83b IS a bargain albeit with a different market appeal. One of these sold for £200 quid last week on UK Ebay. I had to walk away from the laptop in order to resist pushing the trigger.
SlapbassSteve
Ibanez make some nice stuff. I had an dark red/purple Artcore bass in for a setup the other day and it was a stunner! Was amazed to see them for only £230 new on the internet, I'd have priced it much higher from the quality.
waldflote8
That Pacifica is very nice,.. I've often been tempted by them (more basic versions ) in the small ads for a project base, assuming a good basic build quality etc. A big + for the Artcore,.. I have an 83 the exact same finish as the one in the picture and it is a great guitar, really nice tone,.. I used it in a Rush covers tribute thing for a while and was spot on to cover their older (pre 1980 material.
rapscallion
I am in love with 60s/70s Yamaha semi's. The SA15D is my dream guitar at the moment, perfect mix of Western influence and Japanese originality
