Jonnyboy Rotten
I was thinking what else I could do to my P bass build and it occurred to me that I should fit a bottle opener to the back of the headstock so I can open beers while I am playing. Of course In reality it would be a quirky talking point more than a functional thing as clearly beer and electronics/wood don't mix well! What weird and wonderful things have you thought about sticking on your bass?
Booooooom
Embarrassing when someone stops you mid song to open a beer tho! 😉
ape
That's an amazing idea, why didn't I think of that. Erm I covered my entire bass body in bubble wrap for a while if that counts lol

Someone has found a use for the bassist at gigs :-P
SubsonicSimpleton
Why not add a dildo so that unappreciative bandmates and audience members can go f**k themselves if they don't like your basslines.

Jonnyboy Rotten

That truly is genius! You could even just mod one of the pots to look like a lighter. - a little battery probably wouldn't have enough juice to actually power it for very long. Horizontalste
You only have to look at G&L's of late to see the bottle opener thing has been done! Why G&L, why?
Chris Sharman
I was actually going to fit one of those Fender ones to the side of my amp! Seems Mrs S has other ideas as usual.
Bolo
Didn't Alembic mount an xlr for 12v power to the preamp? That would work for the lighter ^_^
iiipopes
How about mounting the bottle opener on the side of the amplifier so you can appear to have comraderie with your band mates, and being the bassist, open a beer for the drummer occasionally?
