itsmedunc
What do we think of this one then? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Precision-Bass-1959-/271452029585?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3f33cd4291

Beedster
What makes me laugh is that the clowns trying to scam us always use the same daft approach in post 2 above, it's almost like they want us to know they're a scammer. You'd think they'd look at a few legitimate listings and try to emulate those?

topo morto
EBay's 'dropdown list' approach to reporting stuff can be a bit hard to work through!
HowieBass
Well the reason would be he claims to be living in Rochdale but the same bass (photo, instrument history and serial number details) is listed elsewhere and is located in Long Island New York http://fenderbass.ne...ss-1959-2/14631 plus he's listed on a scam alert website listing some other item and claims to be in Chesterfield? http://ebayscamhunter.blogspot.co.uk/ EDIT: And the listing has disappeared! Good work chaps! Beedster
Well the reason would be he claims to be living in Rochdale but the same bass (photo, instrument history and serial number details) is listed elsewhere and is located in Long Island New York http://fenderbass.ne...ss-1959-2/14631 plus he's listed on a scam alert website listing some other item and claims to be in Chesterfield? http://ebayscamhunter.blogspot.co.uk/
eBay wouldn't see that as legit really - he could have bought the bass (a bass I bought in Denmark St was on the shops website two years later), and re a 'confirmed' scammer, although it's probably not an issue in relation to vintage basses, there's so much competition for trade on eBay that it's not uncommon for one seller to try to get a rivals' listings removed to improve their own business. You can understand why eBay are a little fussy over this at times! However, they will probably remove this listing anyway, but don't be surprised if it reappears! Roger2611
Ebay are pretty good at pulling them, they are dead easy to spot.....ultra high end gear at a low starting price and strangely usually with a £24.00 postage charge for some reason. When you report them, it is listing practices, you suspect a listing is fraudulent, you didn't bid on the item...or something like that Ebay will do the rest
