L1zz1e
Hi guys, I recently put a set of bartolini 8s in a pbass project i have going on at the moment and have been very happy with them! But on the schematic that came with the pickups it says you can have a capacitor on the volume pot as well as the tone pot, so i bought a new/old stock 60s .1uf capacitor and soldered it on. But now whenever i roll the tone pot to full the bass totally cuts out and it sounds really muddy and all bass no treble. Can anyone help? BigRedX
Normally capacitors on the volume pot are design to stop treble roll-off as you reduce the output volume. The most common value for these is 0.001uF rather than .1uF

BigRedX
F is Farad which is the unit of capacitance. uF which should be written µF (mu) is a microfarad or 0.000001 Farad.
