UB40 gig in Cambridge... "the bass was vibrating even in the foyer"

Well, I didn't know that UB40 liked it that loud?!

Heaviest bass I ever heard was in Manchester once from a street sound system!

Pretty sure everyone was complaining about the general low frequencies rather than the actual bass guitar itself. A pretty common state of affairs at lots of gigs these days.

They played St Albans on the Friday - a friend of mine was in jail with Ali Cambell years ago and even though Ali has left UB40 and has gone "solo", because my mate knows the whole band we normally get in backstage on the guest list. However because there was an argument with the new Tour Manager none of us went.

Ali and Astro are playing Hatfield Park later this year so chances are we'll be getting backstage passes to that instead.

Didn't the woman who complained realise that the gig was going to be loud?? Must have been a while since she last went to a gig..

When i was a Bouncer at the Glasgow Apollo in the early 80's the bass from ub40 was the same he played a steinberger at that gig. far too much bass and i like bass !!!

I had the same feeling at an Alter Bridge gig I went to last year...was all you could hear, sounded awful.
