I'll let you know in a week or so as I'm having some of these Ultra Jazz (humbuckers) installed on a Yamaha but according to DiMarzio they won't fit a Fender.
The yammie pups I took out & are true single coils & have the same dimensions, I don't just mean the same as the DiMarzio's but neck & bridge are same length etc ... you can try yammies cheap lol

I've used the Ultra Jazz ones and they were excellent, can't imagine that the P ones would be any less so...
