Doctor J
I first came across Bacchus having a sniff around Ishibashi's u-box. The black one below, fairly beaten up but something about it intrigued me. For the price it was worth a gamble. If only I'd known then that I'd end up selling most of the rest of my gear to get it's Bacchus equivalent, things might be different. They're simple basses, just very well made and each one has its own sound.

tonyf
The Precision looks absolutely stunning. Ummmmmmmmmmmmm. Gotta hatch a fiendish "swap any bass I have for that" type plan! T
qvadratt
Very nice collection! What is the reference or name of the precision?
Doctor J
Cheers! The model is a Woodline P Classic, it's discontinued, they only made them for 2007 but there are still a few knocking around, there's a white one on ebay for an absurdly low price. It's a great bass, it sounds like you think a P should sound in your head. Plus, the side dots glow in the dark! I've added a bridge cover to it, now it really looks the business, must take a pic. phil_the_bassist
The natural wood jazzer is a thing of incredible beauty! I've fallen especially hard for the bridge...mmmmmm! Edited July 16, 2008 by phil_the_bassist
Doctor J
Doesn't seem to be up at the moment, it was with either http://stores.ebay.ie/nu2uguitars or http://stores.ebay.com/MIJ-Guitar-HISASHI - it has been up for a while, I'd say keep an eye on them and it might come back up if someone hasn't bought it. These guys might still be able to get them http://www.guitarjapan.com/bacchus/bacchus_bassguitars.html I got my one through them, with the exchange rate with the dollar being what it is, it was a great deal. ped
Hello Dr.J, I have talked to you about these basses on Talkbass. I used to have a very nice early 36" scale jazz 5 and a newer Twenty-Four bass, both of which were stunning and restored my faith in wooden necked instruments! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your stay! ped
Doctor J
Cheers Ped, it's nice to be here. There seems to be a greater variety of instruments (ie non-US) getting some space which makes a nice change.
