ead
Technically NDBD was on Thusday 17th but it's taken me a day or two to take a few pics. This one used to belong to fellow BCer Flex and replaces the Combustion 5 as I couldn't handle the 5 string thing. It's a cracker. Lovely wenge neck and 'board. Philip_
how is the neck? can't remember the name for the way the frets are arranged but it always struck me as interesting...easier or just different?
Woodinblack
Very nice. Even if one of your strings is missing
cocco
I played one of these at bass direct. God knows how I managed to leave without it. Incredible bit of kit!
gary mac
That's lovely Ead, Having recently been introduced to Dingwall by Grand Wazzoo, I'm now really chomping at the bit for a 4 string.
ead
how is the neck? can't remember the name for the way the frets are arranged but it always struck me as interesting...easier or just different?
Neck is really nice and smooth (matt/satin finish). Somewhere between a P and a J in terms of shape/size, but very comfortable for me. I took to the fanned fret thing after a couple of hours (due to my talent deficit which didn't allow me to make the transition in seconds/a minute or two). It is a bit odd at first particularly at the extreme ends of the fretboard, but once you get the hang of it, it's really rather good.
