kodiakblair
Ok so it's not new but I just got this today from Nevada Music. A day early that's always good, Packed well but didn't kill a forest to do it and only £6 for delivery. Out of the box came this Light weight, good action, no buzz, looks absolutely brilliant. Roll on the weekend and I get some time with this.
ead
Never seen one in the flesh but that looks very easy on the eye.
Cameronj279
Nifty looking basses them. Haven't played one though!
lemmywinks
Ace basses these, very well specced and designed. Wish I still had mine!
HowieBass
I've got a 5 string early version of one of these; make sure you explore the 2 trim pots visible through the back control plate for slap depth and gain - these determine how much of the mids get cut when you engage the slap switch (the bass and treble get boosted too). I ended up raising the neck on mine by 1/16" (with a full neck pocket shim) to get the saddles down to where I wanted them... you'll probably find you can get the neck pretty flat with minimal fret buzz. Have fun!
kodiakblair
Thanks Howie. I saw the pots on the back.Pretty good set-up on this so I don't think I'll be playing with the neck. The bit half hour I got with it ;last night tells me I'm gonna enjoy this one. Cheers K.B
KingBollock
Nice! I'd love one of these, sadly I have absolutely no way to justify buying one. I once saw a picture of a piano white, fretless version that still makes me drool when I picture it in my head. I don't have a fretless bass, currently, unfortunately I have already told my wife that I intend to convert a bass I already have, so I can't even use that as an excuse. CamdenRob
Looks nice that... I had a fretless curbow for a while. A lot of bass for the money I think.
Conan
Good basses! I had a five string fretted in black for a while before moving it on (mainly because it was a five string!). A range of very modern tones, greatly boosted by the three band EQ (the mid control gives a lot of options). I didn't bother with a shim, but did find that the curved body made it impossible to lower the bridge saddles as much as i would have liked... a minor design flaw maybe? Good fun though, and the looks always draw attention!
johnDeereJack
I had a 5-string Curbow in Crazer Orange (I think that's what it was called!) and sold it after the band I was in broke up. Great basses IMHO and I totally regret selling it now.
