Donnyboy
The volume pot when turned fully off still has loads of volume, when turned up it goes off , turn it up again it comes back on. Any suggestions? I had a look underneath , all seems in order, took pot off & put it back on tightened up the screw, but despite these efforts the problem hasn't disappeared... ikay
Is this something that just started happening, did it ever work properly? When you say 'turn it up again' do you mean turn it off and then fully back on again? Or do you mean when you turn it up (part way) it goes off and when you turn it up further it comes back on? A pic of the pot and wiring might be useful.
KiOgon
Sounds like time for a new pot or a complete wiring replacement kit

HowieBass
Sounds like the wiper arm has somehow come loose? For the small cost and little effort involved you're better replacing it.
Donnyboy
Thanks for the replies - it just started happening. I mean " when you turn it up (part way) it goes off and when you turn it up further it comes back on" which is a much better way of explaining it than I did !
