Dennis1971
HI, Never been much of a pedal user but tempted by an envelope filter. Been looking at the offerings of Electro Harmonix and the following three have caught my eye: Mini Q-tron Enigma Q-Balls Bass Synth Really confused about the pro's and cons of these. Youtube normally clears it up but not this time. Can someone tell what the differences between these are and what you prefer. xgsjx
Q tron & Q Balls are filters (auto wah type thingys). BMS is an octaver, distortion (square wave) & filter all in one, hence being bigger, with more controls & costing considerably more. So it depends if it's gonna be your only pedal... Do you want to play funk & have your bass' tone with a wah on it, or do you want to play synth sounds? There are better filters than the EH ones (subject to taste of course). My choice is the Moog MF-101. It's big, it isn't cheap, but it does sound awesome.
