lou24d53 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) I love the guy. I know more folk can't be arsed with him than like the guy, but I just had to put out there...he's a fookin' legend in my book. Edited April 27, 2014 by lou24d53 Quote

BassTractor Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 FWIW, my brother-in-law adores Him, probably praying before His statue every morning and every evening - - bareknee-edly so. Quote

Dingus Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) Morrisey is a genius. His music has mostly been crap since he left The Smiths ( would have been great to see them carry on without him with Jimmy Somerville as the new singer) , but he knows a thing or two about generating publicity. Like this whole vegetarian "all I eat is toast" facade. If his career ever starts petering out all he needs to do is announce to the world that he is eating meat again and finding it delicious and he will get such a tidal wave of exposure that money could never buy. foal30 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Great lyricist, surely one of England's finest. Quote
rubis Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Just finished reading his book, top bloke who as far as I can see doesn't take himself as seriously as some would like to think I'd like to see him go into politics, that would be entertaining! Edited April 28, 2014 by rubis Quote
thisnameistaken Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Whatever else happens, he was in The Smiths. The most vocal critics of Morrissey didn't like The Smiths, and those people can't be trusted. Quote
Count Bassy Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 How Morrissey has achieved the standing he appears to have completely baffles me. There are far better song writers and singers from that era, and some of them aren't even aren't jumped up twats. Quote
Bassman Sam Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I loved the sound of the Smiths......until Morrissey started singing. Quote

JellyKnees Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I love the Smiths but Morrissey is definitely a bit up himself.... Another opportunity to post a link to a classic bit of viz... CamdenRob Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 His music never did anything for me... As a person I don't share others vociferous hatred... Can't say he's really made the slightest impression on my life, I've always just regarded him as a bit of a plonker... Quote
