winterfire666 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 What do you think is the coolest looking bass rig out there judged purely on asthetics ? Quote
TJ Spicer Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 TC Electronic Blacksmith with 4 TC 4x10 cabs would look awesome! It looked great with the 2 4x10s though! Quote
winterfire666 Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) oooooo i forgot about the blacksmith, i was just thinking what would look great on a glockenklang 6 box. or maybe somethin like this Edited April 27, 2014 by winterfire666 Quote
Lozz196 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Two Ampeg 810 stacks gets my votes - silver cloth of course. Quote
Cat Burrito Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I don't think there is a definitive one but I like the old school looks of a bassman, an Ampeg or an Orange rig myself. Quote
theyellowcar Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014
Two Ampeg 810 stacks gets my votes - silver cloth of course.
This. Or a massive silver cloth Fender Bassman stack. Quote
Beer of the Bass Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Purely on aesthetics, an old B15n with the light-up perspex panel on the front. Come to think of it, that could sound rather good too... Quote
chrismuzz Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Despite my disappointment with how the tone doesn't compliment my sound, an Ampeg 810 always looks good. Especially with a rack on top packed with lights knobs and switches Quote
gjones Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 The Fender TV15. Which unfortunately is no longer produced by Fender because it was too big, too heavy and not loud enough. But it sure was purty Quote

paul_5 Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I always liked Geddy Lee's rig from a couple of years back: Quote
TheGreek Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Nobody's mentioned Trace Elliott - those neon green lights do something weird to me... Quote
JamesBass Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Any valve head sat atop two 810s! Aesthetically the look of the CTM series from Ashdown is probably right up there currently! See Merton's CTM100 for reference! Quote
JamesBass Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014
Well, I'm biased, but this:
I'm guessing that's the Barefaced 69er? May I enquire as to how it sounds and how easy it is to get about? I'm looking in to getting myself one soon! Quote

It happens to be for sale, so you won't be surprised to hear me say that it sounds gorgeously even yet ballsy, and you couldn't imagine an easier 6x10 to get about. It's a one hand lift. Check the FS forum for more details, but alas I don't have the materials to package it up for courier :-( Quote
BigRedX Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Purely on looks? Probably this: Quote

lonestar Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 HH VS with that lovely green glow. Aah nostalgia isn't what it used to be. Actually I think the barefaced cabs with the silver grill cloths look really smart Quote
