lacquering a EBMM neck?

I have a Stingray with the raw maple neck and I wondered if I had it lacquered would it make it more stable?
Also, would it affect the resale value and how much would one expect to pay for a professional finish?

I can't imagine a laquer finish affecting stability on a neck.

I'm kinda hoping it might improve it a bit, even the slightest temperature shift effects it. Thought if it was sealed it might behave it's self.

Have you tried gunstock oil & gunstock wax like EB recommends?
Otherwise there might be a real issue with the neck, in which case you'd best contact an EB Musicman stockist or the distributor for the UK.

Yeah it gets oiled & waxed about twice a year. The dirt is starting to build up on it too. Higher maintenance than I'd like to be honest.
