Roland Rock Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hi, I need to quickly switch between clean and multiple effects, so am after a loop bypass pedal. Anyone know any good quality little units out there? Quote
elephantgrey Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I would check the marketplace on here for an LS2, otherwise check out this guy to make you one. Quote

Roland Rock Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) Well that took all of ten minutes, thanks Basschat. The Lehle looks very sexy, but is more than I want to spend. The Bright Onion looks absolutely perfect, thanks. Specifically this one http://www.brightonion.co.uk/products/Mini-Looper.html Edited April 29, 2014 by Roland Rock Quote

These little boxes pop up used from £10-£15 all the time too! Quote
Roland Rock Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Thanks DB. My ideal pedal would have input/output on one side and send/return on the other. I've contact both bright onion an vein tap to get a price. I can't imagine it would be a difficult mod! Quote
elephantgrey Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Im curtain that Bright Onion will do that for you. I got a 4x momentary switch made for my RC50 from him, and he asked alot of questions about things like how i wanted it wired and such but ended up with the perfect pedal for what i wanted. Quote
redbandit599 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 [sub]I've got one of these[/sub] [sub]http://buzzelectronics.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=52[/sub] [sub]Built in exactly the same way as you descibe for no extra cost. Does the job you describe for me really well, the LED was faulty on mine at first but he replaced it very quickly and it's a solid little box.[/sub] Quote
jazzyvee Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Are all the Loop switches mentioned above silent switching? I had a ART Pro Audio Cool switch and it made a click that comes through the speakers whenever the foot switches were pressed so It had to go. Jazzyvee Quote
xgsjx Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 The chap at bright onion will make it however you want. I've not dealt with him, but my prev singer had a few custom bits made by him & said he was a top notch guy. Well put together too. The other option, if you're handy with a soldering iron, is to make your own. Making a bypass looper is about as hard as sticking lego together (AKA it's not hard). This way you can have things laid out how you want. I can get you a schematic if you like(in easy to follow format too)? Quote

I'm rubbish at soldering, although I've just seen the attached, which I'd like to have a stab at :-) The nice man at Vein Tap says he'll make one to my preferred layout for £22.45 posted, so I think I'll go with that. Thanks all Edited April 29, 2014 by Roland Rock Quote
rk7 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I have a (spare) Wee Lush looper switch. Great little bit of kit. RK Quote

Thanks all
You could probably put it together using clips like these. If you could find some small enough. There aren't any electronic components involved, unless you want an LED indicator, just a switch and sockets with tabs. Quote
Guest FretNoMore Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 One Control makes a couple of nice ones in small enclosures and varying extra features. Quote
Roland Rock Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 I ordered the Vein Tap last night, with the custom layout, and it's now completed and in in the post! Quote
Roland Rock Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 And here it is. it works a treat, and no pops when switching. Now you can see why I wanted the input/output on the right hand side Quote
