Single Loop Bypass

Hi,
I need to quickly switch between clean and multiple effects, so am after a loop bypass pedal. Anyone know any good quality little units out there?

I've been using a couple of those bright onion ones... good quality and made in a couple of days.

The Lehle looks very sexy, but is more than I want to spend. The Bright Onion looks absolutely perfect, thanks.

The Bright Onion is £30 without postage for exactly the same thing. These little boxes pop up used from £10-£15 all the time too!

My ideal pedal would have input/output on one side and send/return on the other. I've contact both bright onion an vein tap to get a price. I can't imagine it would be a difficult mod!

Im curtain that Bright Onion will do that for you. I got a 4x momentary switch made for my RC50 from him, and he asked alot of questions about things like how i wanted it wired and such but ended up with the perfect pedal for what i wanted.

[sub]Built in exactly the same way as you descibe for no extra cost. Does the job you describe for me really well, the LED was faulty on mine at first but he replaced it very quickly and it's a solid little box.[/sub]

Are all the Loop switches mentioned above silent switching? I had a ART Pro Audio Cool switch and it made a click that comes through the speakers whenever the foot switches were pressed so It had to go.

The chap at bright onion will make it however you want. I've not dealt with him, but my prev singer had a few custom bits made by him & said he was a top notch guy. Well put together too.

The other option, if you're handy with a soldering iron, is to make your own. Making a bypass looper is about as hard as sticking lego together (AKA it's not hard). This way you can have things laid out how you want. I can get you a schematic if you like(in easy to follow format too)?

Very nice of you, thanks. I'm rubbish at soldering, although I've just seen the attached, which I'd like to have a stab at :-)

You could probably put it together using clips like these.



If you could find some small enough. There aren't any electronic components involved, unless you want an LED indicator, just a switch and sockets with tabs.
