Number6
So i went the Camden Underworld last night to see Hoaxwind and Alan Davey's band The Psychedelic Warlords. Well what can i say about Alan's playing but WOW.....chording all over the fretboard with bass breaks and soloing and the sound from his rig was amazing! The growling thunderous sound from the Rick through the Fender amp Ashdown cab combination was bone shaking...... Hoaxwind were a worthy support act but the Psychedelic Warlords were immense. Highly recommended. Edited May 3, 2014 by Number6
discreet
Yes, he looks fairly rock 'n' roll, doesn't he?
the_skezz
Gutted I missed their date by us the other night; saw them performing Space Ritual last year and they were spot on.
King Tut
I was lucky enough to support Alan Davey's Gunslinger with my own originals band Base Elegance a couple of years ago. He brought his own head but used my cab. We spent ages chatting bass and he had a go on my Rik 4001. Great player and lovely fella :-)
VTypeV4
I've mixed Alan any number of times in both Gunslinger and Warlords and as stated above, he's a top chap. We had the Warlords at the Rigger last week and it was a great show. A real pleasure.
Skybone
Seen Alan playing in both Hawkwind and with his own band (Bedouin era), awesome player for a diddy bloke. Always remember the white Ric sounding thunderous.
