budget bassist
I don't actually own one, but am really interested in them and would be keen to see any of your guys custom builds! It's always interesting to see what people have dreamed up out of such a template
Lw.
Two nice ones have gone through the classifieds recently - they do look really good. Taking the fender template & applying exotic woods seems to work really well!
budget bassist
Yeah I agree, I've seen a couple of nice ones on here, just wondering if there are any more to come out of the woodwork pun not intended
Delberthot
I've built two, both were '54 precision shapes but completely different basses. The first one was gold and sparkly - loads of pics and info here The second one was designed to copy the last of the single coils - more pics here It's my 40th birthday next year and I'm seriously contemplating another one like the second one
budget bassist
Excellent - I've seen yours before, I love the look of the neck on the first one, wenge is a lovely wood.
dannybuoy
I didn't build this but used to own it. Walnut body, rosewood neck and ziricote board, Dark Star pickups and Audere pre: I have a hankering to build a matte black ash Jazz V with wenge neck and ebony board! SolomonHelsing
Here's some pics of my Warmoth from when she was first assembled, She doesn't look bad for her age now, but that's due to university interfering with me keeping a decent practice schedule and such, That and me not keeping to one Anyways... Pics. and just how different the colour can be under different lighting.
DolganoFF
To revive the thread a little The Warmoth Jazz build I traded years ago (to Warwick of all things). This bass had two incarnations, first one with Fender rosewood neck, and the second with beautiful Warmoth maple neck. The body is swamp ash with spalted ash cap.
