wal4string Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) Luminlay have started to produce a control knob with numbered increments which I would like to fit on my Stingray. However, their site says will fit a 6mm shaft but unable to find or measure the size on my bass. Does anyone know the size of the shaft? [attachment=162027:Knob.jpg] I am sure they will help with me dialing in my tone. Edited May 5, 2014 by wal4string Quote
Manton Customs Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) I don't know off the top of my head which pots MM use, but you can pick up a set of calipers cheaply and measure the shaft. Having said that I suspect they would be fine as 6 mm is very common, though don't take my word for it! Edited May 5, 2014 by Manton Customs Quote
ahpook Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 (edited) The shafts on a Seymour Duncan MM preamp I have in my spares box are 6mm. Edited May 5, 2014 by ahpook Quote
neepheid Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Can't help you with your question, but I do like the look of those controls. Quote
ikay Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Stingray pots have 0.25" (6.35mm) shafts - 6mm knobs may not fit ... Quote
wal4string Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 I bit the bullet and ordered one. I will post how I get on. Estimated delivery aprox. 2 weeks. Quote
wal4string Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Well control knob arrived. Unfortunately, as I feared too small for my Stingray, however all not lost as it does fit my Status Classic which has a plastic sleeve which I removed for a perfect fit on the mid control. Quote
