paulbkeeves
I bought this from a fellow Basschatter some time ago. However, as lovely as it is it's just stayed in it's case since I bought it (once again, proving to myself that I'm just a Precision/Stingray kinda guy). Here's the blurb: Completely original (minus one screw, see below) Ibanez Musician MC924 Made in Japan 1981 'Dark Stain' finish Overall in very good condition. Apart from: 1) missing truss rod cover - these can be readily had for 14.80GBP from: Ibanez Musician TRC Brass 2) scratches on and around the battery compartment cover, where the screw has been replaced. The company that sell the truss rod cover also have screws in stock, so there you go. Research all done for ya! I have accounted for the above in the price. Comes with the very lovely and original hard case in rather good condition for the age. Also included is what I believe is an original accessory: a thumb rest, with screws which has never been installed. Electronics all work as they should. Neck is fine. Throughneck basses PU selector switch Active/passive switch 3 band eq, volume, boost and tone. Ebony fingerboard Excellent pickups and hardware. A true classic, and a lot of bass for the buck by today's standards. Open to trades (yes, i'm a Stingray and P-Bass guy but hit me with what you have - if only to prove to myself yet again that i'm a Stingray and P-Bass guy! ;-) Edited May 11, 2014 by paulbkeeves
IainRoberts
Always good to see these basses going strong! I'm a proud owner and will never part! Are you sure you want to part with it?!
paulbkeeves
Cheers Iain. Yes i'm sure that I want to part with it: I'm a simple guy - If I have more than 1 volume and 1 tone knob to deal with then I get all confused , plus when I play with a pick then I always tend to inadvertently move the volume knob. I realised this the moment I got the bass and knew instantly that despite being a beastie of a bass with a fantastic range of sounds, it is a beastie that is not for me.
