Ktmman Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) There is not much info on this but if it is what it is , i reckon thats quiet a good price .. I had the exact bass but mine had S1 switching and closed back tuners which i thought was standard for the year 04... Also the bridge looks different although its hard to see on my iphone ... Any thoughts ? You might need to cut and paste this link www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/usa-fender-precision-bass-guitar-for-sale-made-in-2004/1060221911 Edited May 6, 2014 by Ktmman Quote
itsmedunc Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 It looks like there's something going on around the neckplate? It looks like a high mass bridge but still hard to tell. The serial is correct according to guitardaterproject. The decal is like the one on this http://www.musiccitypickers.com/2003-or-2004-fender-usa-standard-precision-bass-sold/ The tuners are different though. I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination but I'm sure one will be along shortly! Quote
itsmedunc Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 (edited) But this 2004 has open back http://www.chicagomu...s-sunburst-2004 Saying that the truss rod on this looks like its at the headstock? I'm getting confused now! Edited May 6, 2014 by itsmedunc Quote
Ktmman Posted May 7, 2014 Author Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) Yes the neck plate .. Looks like a an issue and crack above the screw on the left .. possibly a bit of overtightening ? May be only cosmetic ... Nice looking though , all black/ maple . Edited May 7, 2014 by Ktmman Quote
