Gunsfreddy2003 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Marlborough Jazz Festival was on last weekend and after we played I went and checked out some other bands and there were some really good ones. Highlight of the day was a band called Protect The Beat. My understanding is that these guys are all top session musicians and boy could they play! Their music is instrumental jazz/funk and it really grooves. The bassist on Saturday was Roger Inniss but I think he was a dep. Played Shuker basses and was awesome. If you get a chance - go and see them play. I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Quote
jakenewmanbass Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Roger is a fantastic player, really lovely feel. He is also a very good upright player. Quote
