Hi All,

Up for sale is my 1969 Fender Jazz Bass, serial number 255536, with its OHSC. Weighs 9.2lbs.

Its had a recent pro refret and new nut...also has an added screw hole for a strap button by the neck heel (see pic)....a couple of replacement screws in the guard.

Gorgeous looking bass which plays really well all the way up the neck. Spits out a huge sound like only a vintage J bass can.

Has some signs of playwear - mainly on the body rear and lower edge...visible in the pics.....feel free to PM me for more info / pics / to arrange to come and have a play.

Looking for £2,750.

Cheers, Si

Said he in a "deeply jealous, stuck in Orlando" kind of way....

Another absolute stunner from Si. You would probably struggle to find a much better example than this anywhere , especially for such a realistic price .

If these are the caliber of basses that Si is selling, I would love to see what the keepers are like. :)

That's the real deal right there!

The burst on that sunburst/rosewood precision is beautiful. That is the kind of burst that all the vintage reissues are trying to recreate but never quite capture. Looks like a very dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, too, like the best vintage Fenders tend to have. .

Dear God. Ummm....this is EXACTLY what I need. Honestly, every last detail.

Do you have any recordings of it online?

I'd have to shift my Warwick Thumb 6, I think. Sorry, thinking out loud.

Holy Mother of God, that's beautiful. [/quote]

What he said....

That's an amazing bass Si. I hope someone buys it soon, otherwise I'm going to have to sell a kidney...
Would love to have it, could never do it justice.

An extra hole? Christ. My 1966 jazz bass is utterly battered, but is still the best playing bass I've ever had the pleasure to own.
