I didn't know Line6 pedals had this requirement, but a quick google showed that people are using Ernie Ball volume pedals with a regular TS patch lead to control the M9.

You could try the Dunlop expression/volume pedals - they have in/out for volume and an expression output - as long as they are on separate pots, you could try hooking the expression up to the Xero and the pedal input up to the Line6?

If that turns out to be no good and you end up having to get two exp pedals, I have a Moog EP-2 not being used that works wonderfully with the Xero!

Oh no I'm planning to have more than one pedal, I would just prefer them to be the same. Currently I have a VP Jr (I replaced the pot with a linear one) on the M9 and an EP-3 on the Xero, but they are different heights and have different pivot points and ranges so it's too hard to operate both with one foot. :-\

Well that Dunlop might let you hook up to both at once - fine if you want to control both at once of course, but not great if you don't!

I take it a TS cable doesn't work properly in the EP-3?

You might be able to use a VP Jr with the Xero if you hook up an insert cable (TRS to 2x TS) to the input/output of the volume pedal.

Take a look at the Source Audio Dual Expression Pedal, seems to worl well with the Line 6 M-series plus you have a second output for another pedal

Have you thought about the Mission Engineering Expressionator here? I'm thinking about using my VP Jr as a master expression pedal and select between 1, 2 or 3 pedals using the expressionator

Yeah it looks like a clever bit of kit but I'm probably going to want separate pedals. One will almost permanently be pitch shifting (the one on the M9), another on a low-pass filter, maybe a third now too into a sample rate reducer. I'll be wanting to do all three freely so I'll need three pedals rather than an Expressionator, but it is a great product I agree. :)
