lordpankake
Hey there, I recently bought an Ashdown head (second hand, might have been a bad idea), and now whenever it is turned on it outputs a very loud hissing noise. All the posts I could find about it online said it was only present with the valve drive on, whilst mine is ever present, valve drive or not. Does anyone know of anyway to stop this hissing? Thanks. BruceBass3901
Is it present with the EQ disengaged as well?
FinnDave
Ashdown have a very quick turnaround n servicing, I'd get them to check it over. My evo II has no hiss, valve drive in or out.
spud19870
Id second the above post. Get it serviced through Ashdown
Jono Bolton
Is it a hiss, or a hum/buzz? I've got an Evo II head that has a pretty loud hum when the output volume is above 9 o clock. Disengaging the valve drive and EQ gets rid of it, engaging one or the other on it's own brings it in a bit and both switched in its very loud. Is it something that a service would fix?
