hamfist
SOLD GK MB500 amp. About 6 months old from new (which I have to say is almost a record length of time for me to keep any amp !). In excellent condition. Only for sale as I have upgraded to another GK (the 1001RB). These amazingly small, light and excellent amps are just brilliant, and the difference between this and my new 1001RB is actually very small indeed. The MB, will actually stay completely clean significantly louder than the 1001RB. Some of GK's MB series amps have come out of the factory with a fair amount of background hiss, and I have encountered 2 MB units that were way too hissy for me. This one, however, is a good'un. With the EQ flat and the Master turned right up to max, there is still virtually no hiss from the speakers with this amp. It really is very, very quiet, until you start playing ! A couple of very minor marks but overall in excellent condition. The only thing of any note whatsoever (for complete openness) is that the mute button sometimes needs to be held just slightly to the right as you press it in, to activate or de-activate it. It has been like this from new and has not deteriorated in any way. It is still a completely unproblematic control to use. I have had no problems with the amp whatsoever. Please be assured that these amps are very loud indeed, very clean (if you want that), or fat if you use the "boost" control. The transients are very quick (i.e. the notes hit you very quickly) and, of course, they'll fit into your average gig bag pouch. £279 posted to you in mainland UK. Will come with original box and paperwork etc. No trades please.
