Very sadly, I have to sell all my gear...... long story......

So with a genuinely heavy heart.....

My beautiful Warwick Fortress Masterman, built in West Germany as it was then in 1994, it's lightweight, crazy low action, it's a dream to play, punchy and clear, piano like tone, it's just fabulous.....

It's 20 years old, and so bears a few scars and a little buckle rash, this is a players bass. There's no case, so I'd like to meet somewhere with it if possible, although I CAN post if needs be, I'd just rather not.

[s]£495£450[/s] £400!!! please, and no trades thanks, I'm selling up :-(

Holy f*** that's gorgeous.

I traded this to Russ a few weeks back, and you're right, it is gorgeous. Such a shame you're having to sell up mate!

Indeed sir.

I'm biassed of course, but this is genuinely the comfiest, most lovely bass to play I think I've ever had the pleasure to own.

Sorry you've got to shift this Russ, probably my favourite Warwick pickup/pre amp combination and the comfiest warwick body IMHO
Wishing you a turn in fortune so that you don't have to sell!

Seriously, there's a full rig and bass, including this http://basschat.co.uk/topic/236819-ashdown-abm500h-rig-l250/ on offer for £650 people!

If I were nearer type bump!

I spotted it on evil-bay earlier: It's a sad world...

Hardly... the bass is going to sell on ebay for more than it is offered on here. Folks on here have missed a bargain then! ;)

Thanks for the nice comments folks, but yes, it looks like it's going to go via the bay.

Aside from the sale itself, this bass really is one of the nicest I've ever played, hand on heart, I'm sad to see it go, but it's back to old Yamaha BB's for me, I used to have a few of them 10/15 years back, so I'm happy with that. At one point I thought I'd have no bass at all for a while, but thankfully that looks like it won't be the case.

SO..... yep, as nice a bass as I've owned this Fortress, that includes, Overwaters, Sadowskys, Laklands, Musicmans, Roscoes.... etc etc, this little Warwick is right up there with any of those. A bargain for someone.
