MB1
MB1. There was a short interview on Newsnight followed by this set. Was a bit dubious as the last time I saw them was on the Parallel Lines Tour. ...See what you think!
Lozz196
Not bad, a nice bass presence and good to see Clem Burke hitting those drums whenever he feels like it, as oppose to when they really should be hit
Roger2611
I watched a bit of it on the Red button the other morning, I wasn't very impressed, I didn't the Debbie Harry was putting any effort into the vocals and I wanted to punch the guitarist for playing inappropriate solos during classic hits. Mrs2611 said exactly what I was thinking, "well we won't need to bother going to see Blondie will we" Shame really they were one of the seminal bands of the late 70's and early 80's
icastle
I didn't even get half way through the video - out of tune, timing all over the place and more cues missed than hit. That's not the Blondie I want to remember.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
I'm watching (enduring) it now. Does it get progressively worse all the way through? Sugar On The Side is sh*te. Hanging On The Telephone was murdered. Call Me. Well excuse me if I don't. Debbie - you can't sing any more girl. Give it up.
This is one of the best reviews I've ever seen;). Never been a blonde fan( blue rinse now). An old pal use to love her. I thought Clem Burke was the best thing about them . I have to watch this now for amusement
HowieBass
I'll get Stein's photography book when it comes out in autumn so I can enjoy my memories of Debbie and Blondie when they were at their most vital. BTW is that a Spector bass?
KevB
Saved me the effort of tuning in, I saw a live recording of them somewhere about 10 years ago (at least) and thought her voice was shot then.
