Annoying Twit
We keep seeing ebay listings claiming that old firewood is now highly sought after by collectors. Just in case any of those collectors do exist, here's a Jedson bass for £75. Bassassin
I have an unbranded guitar version of this - it's actually pretty good, bass is probably not too bad either. FYI that's a Jedson Scimitar Bass, model 4454. Jon.
Roger2611
I have had a couple of Jedson's, A Les Paul copy and a Telecaster copy whilst neither were top notch both were very playable
Bassassin
A lot of the later Jedsons were Matsumoku-made, including the LP copies (although not the bass in the link) and sometimes do get quite daft money on Ebay. Jedson was J.E. Dallas & Sons' house brand (see what they did there etc.), when J.E.D. amalgamated into Dallas-Arbiter, Jedson was replaced by the Arbiter brand. Some of them are quite decent too. J. molan
I had an early Jedson Les Paul copy once - virtually unplayable, neck like a banana It became a byword amongst my muso friends for the worst possible quality. Anything that wasn't very nice was described as a bit 'Jedson'. I'm sure there were a lot of better ones though!
