Malky
I've not been on my bass for ages, I have been working away for 6 months since I last used the amp. So I fired it up the other day, then there was the smell of burning and smoke, transformer gone. I have opened it up, and the transformer doesn't look like a good quality one, lets face it price of these amps you are going to get Chinese bits here and there, unlike my high end Hi Fi amp that has no Chinese bits but cost me 4 grand. Anyone any info on getting a better one fitted or where I can get one and get my Electrician son to fix it.
Guest canonman
It might be stating the obvious, but have you tried contacting Ashdown?
Davebassics
Does the blown transformer have any sort of part number on it so you can look up the specs?
