thumperbob 2002
Hi I have a Zoom H2 handy recorder and I have recorded some band practice sessions. Does anyone know how I edit down the time I have recorded eg 45mins into song size chunks- I have no idea how to do it or what I need to do it. Any held will be appreciated cheers Bob
mr.sibs
you could do it in any software such as cubase, logic, pro tools etc you can usually find a free version of such software, and your zoom may have come with some, basically import the file, cut t using the available tool, and then bounce the apropriate sections into single files, this is how I do mine anyhow stu

wulf
I'll second that - Audacity is a great choice for the job. Since I am normally also concentrating on playing I use other tools like equalisation, compression and normalisation to improve the sound as well. I tend to record a bit on the quiet side and then boost it up afterwards when I have the control to avoid too much clipping. Wulf
