bubinga5
I love this album. its astounding to think he was 19 when he recorded it. Smokin music from one of the great keyboard/piano players of the late 70's early 80's. Bernard's playing on the rest of the album is incredible. arranged by Bernard Wright. I'm not sure of the bassist on this record, but it was either Marcus Miller or Barry Johnson. I've a hunch it was Barry Johnson, just doesn't sound like Marcus's style to me, but i could be wrong. . BetaFunk
A classic album that no self respecting jazz-funkateer would have been without in 1981. Edited May 19, 2014 by BetaFunk
bubinga5
yeah its a cracker Geoff. Don Blackman plays piano on a lot of it. he might even have played on this record. Edited May 19, 2014 by bubinga5

Bassnut62
of course, seeing as we're all jazzfunkateers at heart, maybe we should give a shout out to James Mason too and for any of the tracks on the Rhythm of Life LP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dE9__9pzr4Q

I love the arrangement and the vocals of course. The strings at the beginning remind me (for a few seconds at least) of Jerry Goldsmith's music for the film Chinatown which is never a bad thing!
