fretmeister
Only had 5 mins with it so far, and only with Amplitude and not a real amp, but it's easy to play and sounds great. The stock strings suck arse though. D'addario's ordered!
discreet
Ahh... I've often lusted after something similar on Sandberg's website. Nice one. Edited May 21, 2014 by discreet
stingraybassman
The words Sandberg and Hardcore in the same sentence make me feel funny inside. That is absolutely filthy!!! How close is the colour in real life to that pic?
fretmeister
In real life it's not as bright and the differences in the blue / green are not as obvious. I liked the photos, but I love it even more in real life. My wife is laughing her arse off at the entire concept of relics. She thinks it's just been in a shed for years. And she's offered me a cup of artificially aged coffee. And would I like a fresh lunch or aged.

fretmeister
I found some D'Addario NIckels hiding in the back of a drawer. I've always found D'addarios to be especially good on the B string. And cor blimey it is sounding epic!! This afternoon I'll have a chance to take the bass into the garden for some natural light photos, so you'll have to wait until then! Black Coffee
This is a lovely looking relic job. I've been lusting after one of these for a bit but I've a custom build ordered at ACG which needs paid for still. Maybe a Christmas present later this year. If you are a young specimen of a bass player do sandberg do player makeovers to match the bass?
discreet
Lovely. Not good for my Sandberg GAS, though. Stop teasing us! Let's have more pics!

It never looks convincing... you can't rush the real deal, it takes time...

Horizontalste
I'm sure I've said it before but Sandberg really do make the most convincing distressed basses. Enjoy!
visog
That is gorgeous... ticks all the boxes: modern playability but with aged mojo! Tell us Fretmeister - do you worry about dinging a relic'd bass?
humapuma
She be lovely! Was never convinced by relicing until I saw pictures of how well Sandberg do it. Hope you enjoy it v. much!
simon1964
The Sandberg relicing is about the most convincing out there, IMO. Very nice bass!
fingerz
Played a California with J/J Delano pups the other day. I'm a total gear snob, and thought it was an amazing bass. Big fan of Sandberg. Relic is very sexy on this
