I can’t work this out – basically some guy in America has decided to sell his Mark Hoppus (Blink 182) MIM Jazz on ebay, but…in 3 parts?!

Maybe it’s something in the water over there…or maybe he thinks he will get more money this way some how? I’d have thought that if anything he’s likely to get a lot less cash for this fairly common MIM bass by selling it this way.

In general terms.

You can get more for some instruments by breaking them into parts. Vintage jobs with a few non original bits for instance - or modern ones with upgrades.

Seen Wall Street?? Folk buy a failing company because they know that by selling off it's assets they'll make a profit. The machinery - so much , the land - so much etc. Same thing.
