Manchester Rugby Club, Cheadle Hulme. Went there last year and it was a really good set up. Main stage was in large a marquee (the PA was great), an acoustic stage on the main field and another venue in the club house where beer wasn't that expensive that you felt robbed. The food there was good and inexpensive too. Lots of kids and free activities for them so you could get a bit of a break. Camping was around the marquee and acoustic stage. It was altogether a great event.

This years line-up as far as I know,

I'm quite looking forward to Jah Wobble, every time I've seen him its been something different.

Hopefully the event format will be the same and the weather will be as good as it was last year!

Ha! We played there last year and opened Saturday about 12 noon. It was good. Well, its a good job our drummer had his kit and I'd taken my bass gear! The PA lads were very good. I should be arriving about that time. Will see you there then!

Oh dear, I was told I'd just need breakables. Sometimes being the drummer really sucks!!

It should be ok. We got a call the night before asking if we could take our kit as something had gone wrong with the backline. The first 3 or so bands following us ended up using ours too. They wouldn't have been able to play if ours hadn't been there as they were all dependent on the backline. They had a Peavey bass combo but couldn't track it down before we were due on but I'd taken mine just in case. Dont let any of this put you off, if its half as good as it was last year you will have a great time!

hah, OK, I've been to quite a few gigs where I'm expected to share my kit without any prior agreements and it gets quite annoying. I will be optimistic :)

Last year the first band (us) were on at 12 O'clock. I think if thats going to happen again it may well be them! Have a good un! :)

cheers Dunc :)

What awful weather! I turned up hung over from a gig the previous night. I tried to beat the hangover with an ale from the bar. Can't remember what it was called but it was clearly the house ale. Tasted like cold coffee that'd been filtered through some dirty old sports socks...

I enjoyed playing but made a rather hasty exit

Ha! I didn't get any beer from the bar this year but last year I think the real ale was called 'Old Slapper" last year. Not really designed for hangovers though!

All the bad weather over the weekend and we played outside on Monday. The weather was glorious. I dont think I could have coped with standing in it all weekend and then playing in it... Of course yesterday was my hangover day which is still with me today...
