RVB-2 pickup change advice/ideas needed

Hi All,

I have a tanglewood RVB-2 (cheap beetle-style bass) which is in a bit of a sorry state electonically. Rather than just redo the wiring, I want to turn it into a little project and make some changes. Id like to fit some active pickups to it (it has a very low output and a hollow body), but I have no idea which to choose. Hoping to steal some ideas here.

What would you guys do with it?

Hi BertBass, thanks for the reply. are there cetian things i have to bare in mind when choosing a pickup? I dont really understand the size / fit factor of things and whether my bass would take jazz or p bass pickups. I need a smarter man than I!
