I do get the impression that nylon tapewounds have had a bit of a resurgence in the last couple of years with the D'Addario and LaBella sets, so I presume this is Rotosound responding to those. It'd be interesting to hear a little more about what they've changed.

The essential problem with announcing such improvements is that, ime, these strings last for ever, and so never need changing..! I put a new set on my Hofner Verithin bass upon acquisition, now several years ago. I took the precaution of getting a spare set, too. The spares are still, brand new, in their packet. The strings I took off were donated to a good home, where they, too, are still in use.
Breakage excepted (and perhaps, wear; but it's true I don't play the Verithin all day, every day...), I don't know when I'll next be buying a set of these. Maybe curiosity will take me, one day. If the new techniques make for an even better string, they're onto a winner, but return sales are going to be slow, I predict.
