Donnyboy
Gumtree Edinburgh - quite tempted by this myself tbh - must resist ... http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/squire-fender-50s-p-bass-second-hand/1064034464#photo-content "Fantastic remake of a vintage classic by Squire, the official sister company of Fender. This plays really well throughout the fret range. No buzz, intonation is bang on, the action is excellent, it sounds as a Fender does, and has been really well set up - better than factory! Its simple electrics are totally up-gradable if you want. Its got a weird mad custom scratch plate giving it a bit of a Punk vibe. The origional plate is clean and white. Through a valve amp it sounds totally awesome for a passive circut, and it can be inproved with p-up upgrade from Seymore Duncan or somthing. I just don't play it anymore, coz my other basses are my favored sound. Its sound is responsive to all styles of playing too. With a pick it really stands out. It has a 4 saddle bridge, not the vintage 2. Price is NON NEGOTIABLE. If you want me to send it to you, I'd have to charge extra for P&P, and that varies. I'd prefer to meet and seal the deal by face, just so bass is not damaged. I may be persuaded for part exchange for a good old usb external sound card for linux/mac/pc (and proof it works) though. Thanks for looking... at the side ways photos gumtree decided to do. mcnach
sweet basses. I have the butterscotch one... for £120, how come it's still there?
Cat Burrito
I too have the Butterscotch one and it is one of only two electric basses I play now (the other is also Squier). I have to say I prefer the Butterscotch to the Lake Placid Blue simply because I like a nice glossed neck. This model would still be an absolute steal at £200, never mind £120.
