Kev
[s]£1600[/s] £1550 Recently acquired this in a trade as an attempt at fretless, alas a heavily inebriated gentleman trying to get into his house at 3am would have an easier time of finding the key than I can on this! Specs as follows: 2007 Sei Flamboyant Fretless 5 Specs Body Style - Headed Flamboyant Offset 5 string Fretless Fingerboard - Ebony Neck - Flamed Maple with Purpleheart stringers Body Wood - Mahogany Facing Woods - Birdseye maple Circuit - Schack 18v Pickups - Nordstrand Fatstacks Veneer - Dark General Options - Blue side Leds - Tuning pegs slightly angled towards body - Strap button behind top horn - Semi Lined - Gold hardware - Full facing on front - Schaller straplocks - Carbon fibre rods A bass of fantastic quality, gorgeous neck and electronics package is fantastic. The bass has blue LEDs running down the side of the neck, not something I particularly look for in an instrument but a nice touch. Bar a little unavoidable string wear on the fingerboard, the bass is in A+ condition, a real stunner. Pictures do not do the birdseye maple justice. Cash sale £1600 ono. Will consider most trades, however I will not consider another fretless or any bass with less than 5 strings. Would prefer cash my way. Pictures courtesy of a previous owner, bass is in the same condition Edited June 29, 2014 by Kev

andybassdoyle
Massive bump - more of a material collision - from me, was previously my bass. For various reasons Kev and I can't undue what has been done, damn you GAS! GLWTS buddy
Kev
Cheers buddy, if that Dolphin grows an extra string let me know! Guidance on trades, 5 string preferable and would be looking for a straight trade or cash my way really. Warwick, Dingwall, Roscoe, Sei and similar interest me would always prefer to meet than post but I do have a box . Bass also comes in a basically brand new Warwick hardcase. Kev
If this doesn't sell I will be getting it fretted, just seems a shame to ruin such a lovely fretless! Should get change from £200 too...
rodacademy
Yeh i spoke to Martin about getting one done that I saw for sale, think it was around that figure! He has a nice fretted one in the Gallery just now but yours looks super nice! Whats the neck like on this? Some of the dolphin 5s are quite chunky ! Kev
The neck on this is just lovely and fast , very similar C profile to my Dingwall, one of the best features of the bass for sure. Nice and light, too,
It was probably B-G when it left Martin Tweak of the Truss rod and all will be good! Would be happy to do it myself if the buyer pays for the strings Edited May 27, 2014 by Kev

Kev
A couple of people have asked now if the bass can be strung B-G. As I say, happy to set the bass up B-G with a set of strings purchased by the buyer if required, however be assured the nut is cut enough for B-G. It is, however, great E-C! Here is a picture of a .125 B in the nut Edited June 1, 2014 by Kev
