kevvo66 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 (edited) Hiya people,here my problem got a markbass blackline 250 head love it, but the problem is I connect too my ashdown cab 250 watt, hiss city thought there was a snake in my house tried various setting on mb, only thing that takes hissing sid off is if turn on the vle and vpf control switches ,I thought these are vintage amp or cab sound?or is it my kettle lead or something or my cabs, any advice much appreciated.cheers kev Edited May 25, 2014 by kevvo66 Quote

Lozz196 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 How high do you have the treble, and does the cab have a tweeter? As the treble on Markbass amps is set very high, so if you have a lot of it, combined with a tweeter, that could be a lot of it. Using the VLE cuts highs, which would explain the reduction in overhiss. Quote
