silverfoxnik
Hi Folks Been incredibly busy for the last week or two, so haven't got round to updating this list but, as we're getting close now, I'm hoping to get a more specific idea of numbers as I've been trying to decide what would be a fair door price for this so that we can: (i) cover the hall hire costs, and (ii) raise a few quid for a good cause What do you think, is £10 fair? It's what we charge at the South East Bash every year... Hall hire is about £20 per hour, so the total cost will be about £100. We'll have some tea & coffee available on the day at 50p per cup so that will help too... I'm also thinking it might be good to have the times from 11am-5pm and have an extra hour on the day. Anyway, please let me know your thoughts on this - thanks. OK, the list: 01. The idea being that people can suggest some favourite basslines and Jake will deconstruct them.. Here's the idea: "let people make suggestions on the spot as to what they think is a great bassline and I could listen, learn, reproduce and dismantle for analysis in front of their eyes. Could perhaps do 2 or 3, classics from funk, rock, pop maybe?" And if anyone else fancies doing a short talk about a particular interest of theirs, then please let me know - bass-related topics of course! Lastly, if anyone's interested, I've also got some old Peavey 1x15 cabs which are loaded with Altec Lansing drivers and I'd be quite happy to bring those down as they sound great to me..... phil.c60
I'm planning on coming - I live quite near so it would be rude not to, really. Don't know as I can bring anything interesting - my current giging bass is a Fender Hot Rod Precision, and I have a 79 Jazz too so standard stuff, really. Excpet they're both left handed. Cos I am. I do have a proper left-handed double bass, but It's very early days with that so I'd be far too shy to bring that out in public! Amp wise, I've got a Litle Mark 3 that I need a cab for ( a recent aquisition) and an Ampeg B200r Rocket bass combo. If anyone is interested in any of the above I'll bring them. Oh and a tenner on the door is fine by me.
JapanAxe
@silverfoxnik: Yep, expecting to pay £10 on the door as per SE Bash. Timings seem sensible too. Has anyone nominated a charity to receive any net takings?

obbm
Sadly due to Grandchildren commitments I'm not now going to be able to make this.
