yorks5stringer Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I told a fellow Bass player in a Band at the Pizza Express in Dean Street I had a Warwick Star Bass. He asked me if I was into Bootsy Collins...... Quote

basshead56 Posted May 29, 2014 Author Posted May 29, 2014 I'm definitely gonna be asking the nearest Warwick dealer about it. I think it looks awesome! Quote
BetaFunk Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 It does look good but i think i prefer the Washburn Star Bass from 2003 which was more in keeping with the 1975 Larry Pless made original. I think the Washburn was limited to 100 and retailed at £1999 though. I wonder what Warwick class as 'affordable'? Quote

Cameronj279 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 That's...definitely something! Think I saw a very brief video with Andy Irvine playing this and it sounded pretty good. Definitely couldn't get past the shape though. Quote

[/quote] It ought to sound decent - it's essentially a standard Warwick H S bass with a non-standard body shape. The shape is pretty much the best thing about it IMO. Give it a year and Thomann will be selling them for less than half the original asking price. They currently have the MiK version of the Adam Clayton Reverso at 2/3s off, Quote
