kevvo66 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Hiya people, just bought a fender rumble combo 100watter for rehearsals ,so light and punchy ,here my problem do I now sell my two ashdown cabs and mb blackline head with cover ,and get myself another combo with more punch fed up off lugging my cabs round these day +my back cannot take it anymore, any ideas open to suggestions ,cheers kev Quote
LukeFRC Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I always find combos harder to lug around than the two units of cab and head. Quote
badboy1984 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Sell the 2 ashdown cab and keep the MB250 blackline. The MB head is small, light and portable. Just need a smaller light cab to go along. This way you don't need to buy another combo. Quote
kevvo66 Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 I know where your coming from but putting a nasty dent in fridge freezer ,something got to give !!! She who must be obeyed was none too pleased and as threatend too put my cabs in various orifces which sounds quit painfull!!!! Oh bugger lol Quote
kevvo66 Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 That's true lightweight cab that could be the answer.cheers Quote
xgsjx Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I went for the lightweight combo. It's the same size as the MB 102 STD & easy to run into venues with. Quote
mrtcat Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 a really good 1x12 cab will do you nicely. theres a berg ae112 in gear for sale at the mo that would be my 1st choice. Quote
TheGreek Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Gone are the days when you needed a mate who was a power lifter..What you need today is a power amp head (Genz/TC/Eden) - you know the sort of thing, fits in your gig bag and a 1x12 lightweight cab... Quote
