BigRedX
I'm looking for a case that I pack all the band's guitar and microphone stands into for transportation, as anything that doesn't actually get packed away at the end of a gig has a tendency to be left behind. I'm looking for something big enough to hold 4 Hercules stands (GS414B -type) and two mic stands without booms. Maximum length of any stand folded is 90 cm and 30 cm width. I was looking at drum hardware cases but they all seem to be too long plus they look like drum cases so might get confused with the real thing. We have a van, so space during transportation isn't an issue, but at many venues storage for empty cases is, so something just the right size would be ideal. Any ideas? BigRedX
Summat like this? http://pages.ebay.co...1825886&alt=web
That might do if it was twice the height so I could get all the stands in there, and perhaps half the price. It doesn't really need to be massively strong, just hold them all together for ease of transportation. They're stands after all they take a fair amount of abuse when they are on stage. Acebassmusic
I use a "golf bag" bag. 6 mic stands, 2 speaker poles fit in easy. It has lots of padding, big zip opening, strong handles and wheels on the bottom for ease of moving. Something like this <£20 http://www.ebay.co.u...=item4ac91e0046 Edited May 31, 2014 by Acebassmusic

I'll probably get that unless someone comes up with a better suggestion.
JapanAxe
K&M do a range of bags for speaker stands, mic stands etc. I got mine from Sudiospares. They do give you overall dimensions and an idea of how many stands you can fit in each bag.

However the only supplier quoting a sensible price (CPC) is out of stock. Everyone else seems to want about £75.00. The Golf Bag is starting to look like exceptional value! barkin
I use a couple of soft nylon speaker stand bags. No idea who makes them - got them from amazon...under a tenner each, IIRC.
