Handwired Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) An all original L1000 from 1984. She plays very well with a good neck, virtually no fret wear and minimal body marks. It has to score 9/10 for its age. Anyone that's played one of these vintage beasts from the Leo era will know they slay any other passive bass for power and versatility. Controls: volume, two tone cuts and a three way toggle switch giving you humbucker in series, rear coil and rear coil with bass boost, or OMG mode as it's also called. Comes with vintage G&L hard case. Handwired Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Tempted, but I need to thin my cab collection down.
pete_the_beat Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 What is the weight of the bass and how is the balance?
Handwired Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 She comes in at around 4.5kg or 10lbs in old money and well balanced.
pete_the_beat Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Thanks for the info. It's a bit heavy for me but I will definitely give it some thought. In the meanwhile GLWTS
