I know you guys are going to say it's down to personal taste, it's what works best for the band and the type of music I play (Classic Rock) but I'm after a different angle because I only want to keep one, and trying to choose one is blowing my mind, they both sound great but with subtle differences, so musically they both nail it.
What can you come up with?

They will weigh around the same I imagine..
All I know is the nv412 is awesome! Love mine
[/quote]Don't try an NV410 or you'll be in the same boat as me!

Put them both up for sale, and see which one sells first

Good idea. Someone must be in the market for one of the two.

[/quote]That's an interesting notion, fate will get a free hand. Thank you.

6x10 = 6*π*(25.4cm[sup]2[/sup]) = 12161cm[sup]2 [/sup]area

4x12 = 4*π*(30.48cm[sup]2[/sup]) = 11675cm[sup]2[/sup] area

therefore mathematically.... keep them both? :D

[/quote] nope - didn't have that kinda data (hey I did your sums for you!) - hence my advice to keep them both!

I think when you get down to subtle differance it's a case of.. Pick one and crack on! Contemplating subtle differances in 2 fine bass cabs isn't a nightmare scenario to be in!! Ha ha

Have you read my post?

Sorry for joking ! I promise I will only be dead serious from now on.

What a terrible predicament, I feel your pain. Doesn't matter which one you keep. Either way you'll have a great cab and either way you'll always wonder "should I have kept the other". Both are equally good and the difference is negligible and as you say you don't prefer one over the other then just pick one and sell it.

Ok... I'd keep the 610, all things being equal.

I think the 610 will have the better amount of controlled bass and the ability to be a bit snappier
up top, which I would like and want... but then I would also want a horn.

My current default BEST rig is a 212 with a 210 on top and that is the best of all worlds and I think the
610 has a better chance of emulating that sort of sound and attack than a 412.

I think a 212 and therefore a 412 have potential to be great cabs in their own right but the 810 is still the ultimate
and for my needs a 610 would probably win out...but I don't say that from a point of view of owning and hearing
your cabs.

Stick with sell which ever gets the interest, then..?? :lol:

When you put it like that it's obvious really...

I could offer to buy the 610 back but I just ended up buying another NV610T with the tweeter.
They are hard to replace. Keep them both, after all it's these little differences that make them bergs, and make them a little bit better than most.
