mikebass84
I recently bought a Nux Mod Core from rmorris on here. (The pedal is amazing btw, really love the sounds I'm getting from it). My issue is I want to use it in conjunction with my Digitech Bass Driver but I'm not sure if I want the Nux before or after the Digi so I was just messing around with placement. Everything works fine with the Nux 1st but for some reason when I put the Nux after the Digitech I get NOTHING. All the cables work fine and both pedals work on their own. Any ideas cause I'm totally confused! Cheers
paul_5
Mod Cores (and the Digitech for that matter) are digital pedals - they can be really picky about power supplies and positioning. They are amazing pedals for the money though.
mikebass84
Gonna have another play with a few other pedals and see if I can get it working. It's not a major issue but it's annoying
rmorris
Hi. Good to hear you're enjoying the pedal. Are you using the same power supply and using it just for the MOD core in both scenarios (Working / Not Working ) ?
dannybuoy
I've got the phaser core and not had any trouble using it on a daisy chain with other pedals. I'm going to have to try it out again to make sure now!
mikebass84
I've tired using a power supply and using just batteries. Still nothing. It's not really a major issue
rmorris
It's still puzzling though. SInce still a problem on battery power my best gues would be that something (rf/emi) is coming in along th the wante signal from the Digitech unit. Could be that the Digitech ouput isn't sufficiently rf filtered and it's causing a problem for the digital circuits in the Nux. Do you have access to any clip on cable ferrites ? If so then try one or more of these on the cable. If you can loop it through a ferrite more than once so much the better. Also a 'worse / longer' cable might actually help due to increase in capacitance reducing rf transmission.
mikebass84
I went out and bought a load of new patch cables and a dc power supply and now I have the nux after my wah / fuzz / chorus and it's all working fine. And sounding really nice. Highly recommended pedal
mikebass84
I spoke to soon. Not working in any position on the board now so I'm running it thru the fx loop on my Ashdown. Works fine and if anything sounds better this way No idea why it's playing up but meh it works this way
