Just logging thpughts here. I guess it would be useful to print a page giving details of strings/pickups etc so that we can easily log what combination of what does it for us (or not).

I can certainly make a little A4 page to put next to it so you all know exactly what you are trying out, no problem and as a total novice looking to try other basses and string types/tension it really would help rather than people constantly having to repeat it to everyone, good call

I presume I am OK to bring a mate along to this event, he is a guitarist for which I appologise but he is also into making things from wood like guitars and turned stuff etc so he fancies seeing some close up fancy wooden stuff

Is there a fee per head for the doo or whats the deal, thanks

Sounds interesting - I need to shuffle some stuff around to make the date, but I could bring my crappy Zeller strung with Golden Slaps, GK 1001RBII, GK 4x10 neo cab and a fEARful 12/6 if I can work stuff out, and anyone is interested (and if the venue doesn't have a sound limiter!)
